My passion for teaching comes from my wonderful experiences with the teachers and mentors in my life. They have truly taught me that education unlocks a lot of opportunities in the world, and I would love to give that same opportunity to my students. I graduated with a double major in General Engineering and Africana studies, as well as a math minor from Johns Hopkins University in May 2024. Currently, I'm pursuing a master's in Engineering Management with a Supply Chain focus. I primarily tutor math and have worked with students from third grade through high school, and I have the ability to tutor reading subjects as well. I am a strong believer in using multimodal teaching, allowing my students to either learn visually, by doing, and verbally in order to maximize the amount of knowledge they retain. Repetition is key for understanding. Outside of academics, I enjoy running track, knitting and reading.

I enjoy knitting, and have been doing so since I was 10 and recently taught myself to crochet. I have also run track for most of my life and truly love the team aspect of the sport. This year I have been trying to get back into reading, and have primarily focused on science fiction/fantasy novels.
