I am a former high school English teacher with plenty of experience working with students! I have an undergraduate degree in education and English; additionally, I earned my Master's of Education in Language, Literacy, and Culture, which qualifies me to be a specialized literacy teacher. I spent 6 years in the high school classroom teaching reading and writing, along with a year and a half of professional tutoring through Sylvan Learning. Additionally, I have two years of experience teaching at the college level.

Throughout my career, I have taught students of diverse backgrounds, needs, and interests. This experience has helped me develop a versatile range of teaching methods that can help every student succeed. As a tutor, I believe in teaching in a way that focuses on giving students tools--not just answers! A tutoring session with me features clear explanations, relevant examples, and active learning strategies. My goal is to give students greater confidence and the tools they need to continue succeeding long after our session.
