My tutoring philosophy is focused on helping students understand the intuition behind what they are learning; I believe that unpacking the "why" behind difficult concepts is just as important as learning solely by rote. This philosophy is informed by my own experience as a student as well as by the two years I spent as a piano instructor; during this time I worked closely with students of all levels to help them learn and appreciate music, whether they were completely new to the instrument or experienced players hoping to tackle a challenging piece of repertoire.
I received my college education at the University of North Texas, earning a BA in Music in 2022; I am now in the final year of earning a BS in Electrical Engineering. This blend of experience allows me to offer tutoring in math, engineering, and music; I am excited to help students learn and appreciate each of these subjects!
Outside of teaching, I love to play music, watch films/TV with my wife, and go hiking with my two dogs, Ringo and Donnie.
