I have a B.A. in English from Texas A&M and an M.A. in English from Durham University in England. I believe that as a teacher, high academic standards and student relationships must go hand in hand. As I challenge students while analyzing Literature with questions of how and why, we process complex characters and events in a way that doesn't just impact their writing but tends the soil of introspection. I am passionate about teaching English because this study exercises our empathy to deepen the acceptance of oneself and the inclusion of others. I am skilled in helping students think in a complex and nuanced way.

I am especially interested in tutoring students in areas such as essay writing, improving overall literacy in a fun way, and AP Literature and AP Language test prey.
