I have worked with children of all ages since I was in high school and enjoy getting to know each child's likes and dislikes and how they learn best. I was diagnosed with a learning disability in elementary school so I have personal experience with the frustration of having a learning difference. I have worked in preschools, private school, public school, and done private tutoring.
I have a BS in Psychology from Mercy College.
I am currently tutoring children in grades 1-5 in reading.
I believe that it is very important to try to teach towards children's learning style (visual, hands-on, auditory, etc.) and interests (sports, animals, space, etc.).
