I am a graduate of Butler University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Following graduation I taught in public schools before leaving to complete a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling which I received for Adams State University. During this time, my husband and I welcomed our first child. Once my children were in school I started working in the school system again as a Pre-K teacher and then as a long term substitute at an arts charter school where I had the amazing opportunity to teach theatre. I have been homeschooling my children for the past two years and love watching them as they learn new and challenging concepts. I believe strongly in integrating the arts into curriculum and that learning is a life long adventure that can open our minds and change our lives.

I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies. I love theatre. I enjoy both going to and participating in various productions. My family was recently able to all participate in a production of The Wizard of Oz. I also love camping, hiking and a variety of other outdoor activities. My favorite adventures have been white water rafting and zip lining. I adore animals. I have one dog, two cats and a fish who keep the whole family entertained on a daily basis.
