Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Drexel University. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Design Arts with a concentration in Film and Video. Since graduation, I received my TEFL Certification from the International TEFL Academy. For my practicum, I worked with a student living in Trinidad. We worked on pronunciation and better ways for him to communicate with clients at his workplace. I am currently tutoring a deaf woman and we are working on writing skills. I think that the best way to teach someone is to incorporate circumstances in their lives that they are familiar with to use as a tool to understand new concepts. Working on something that the students are passionate about makes the lessons exciting. If I knew how much I would enjoy teaching, I would have started this career path many years ago. For hobbies, I enjoy watching movies, learning the guitar, working on a screenplay and my favorite sport is ping pong.
