I am a grandma of 5, mom of 4, a dog mom and wife. I enjoy traveling, taking pictures, reading and making special memories with family and friends. Throughout life I have enjoyed reading and researching to find answers of things I may not know.

Since March 2024 I began a journey to help young learners improve their writing, reading and comprehension skills with Varsity Tutors. Prior to this for three years, I had the pleasure to teach English as a second language online. During that time, I met some wonderful students and watched them develop their English speaking and reading skills. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, a certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and other supplement certificates in continuing education for online teaching.

Tutoring reading, spelling, phonics, language arts and speech are my favorite. I have also helped students with comprehension skills, social studies and history. When working with a student, it is my goal to help them learn methods to retain the information they have learned and apply their newly gained knowledge when testing and taking assessments.
