I am a second-year civil engineering student at NC State University. I have always enjoyed mathematics and music, and have devoted much of my time to these things.
As far as math, I took as many math courses as I could in high school. This included AP Calculus AB and BC; I received scores of 5 on both exams. I have now taken calculus 2 and 3 at my university.
I have been involved in music since I began learning the flute in second grade. In high school, I was first chair flute for two years and made all-district band in 2023. Additionally, I have experience working with local middle schoolers on flute technique and general musicianship.
I march world class DCI (Drum Corps International) where I play mellophone. I am currently a member of what is widely regarded as the best brass line in DCI. As a member of a world class drum corps, I regularly receive advanced instruction from some of the best brass educators and professional musicians in the country.
