Hey, I'm Henry! I am a third year undergraduate at the University of Michigan majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. In college, I've realized that some of my favorite courses weren't necessarily the ones I already liked. Rather, they were the ones with passionate professors. These professors were engaging and always willing to go the extra mile when I asked for help or clarification. I try to bring this knowledge in my tutoring approach, and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans tailored to each student's level of understanding, and I take my time to walk through examples so that students really understand the material. Afterwards, I make sure that students have time to work through problems and ask clarifying questions. For students that learn better with a different approach, I retailor the way I teach.

I started tutoring three years ago, when I was still in high school. I worked for The City College of New York as a tutor for undergraduate students in Calculus I and discrete math courses. Last year, at the University of Michigan, I worked for the school as a tutor for students in Calculus II, theoretical computer science, and programming.

My tutoring experience has made me well-versed in teaching math subjects from Prealgebra, all the way up to Calculus I, II and III. For students exploring their interest in computer science, I can also provide lessons in Java, C#, C++, or Javascript that go over foundational computer science concepts. For more advanced CS students interested in being prepared for interviews or their classes, I can also provide lessons on data structures, algorithms, and problem solving techniques, that I used to get an internship offer at Google. Lastly, for students taking the SAT, I can provide specific lessons on improving math, reading, and grammar section scores.
