I am a graduate of Northwestern State University (NSULA). I received my Bachelor of Science with a Biomedical Concentration. During my time as an undergraduate student, I was in the Spirit of Northwestern Band and was offered a scholarship. I was section leader for two years and head section leader for my senior year, and was selected to be apart of the Wind Symphony for all four years. This band was the most advance band you can audition for. After graduation, I enrolled NSULA graduate program and received Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education Grades 6-12. I have taught middle-high grades for the past 7 years in the subjects of Earth and Space Science, Life Science, Physical Science at a middle school level and Biology, General Chemistry, Physical Science, and Anatomy and Physiology at a high school level. My goal for every student I teach to discover and fall in love with the process of learning. It is important to me that each of my students left better than they were before entering my classroom. My favorite part of my day was being able to sit down with my students for one-on-one and provide the individualized attention they needed to discover and learn at their own pace. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books that allow me to continue to grow, hiking, cooking, and baking.
