Certified Tutor

I am a current Nursing student with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry, as well as a Masters in Health Care Management. My work experience has been mainly in the health care and science field such as hospital administration, laboratory, and clinical research. While in college, I tutored math and science in underserved areas to help students pass their SOL. I've also had the opportunity to be a 7th grade General Science Teacher. I do have a provisional Biology Teaching license. I enjoy seeing students going from nervous about a subject to feeling confident, or from not liking a subject to loving it. I love seeing how students progress and meeting their own goals when they didn't believe in themselves. My teaching philosophy is empowering students and promote positive attitudes. From my own experience, having a great mindset will ultimately be the driving force to success in anything!
