Certified Tutor

I will be a graduate of Lake Superior State University. I will have received my bachelor's in Mechanical engineering, with a minor in finance. throughout the years I have tutored Elementary, high schools, and Special Education. My passion for helping students comes from being in their shoes when I was in elementary school, I was the kid who was also in the tutoring classes and programs, With my background I know how it feels as a kid in tutoring and struggling in school in general. I have worked with many different age ranges of kids as well as learning disabilities. I have gotten my education from Charlotte High School, Lansing Community College, and Lake Superior State University. After College, I plan to go back to school and get another degree in finance and business. Subjects I tutor in are Math, English, Comprehension, Science, Composition, Agriculture Science (High School), Insurance and Risk Management, and Criminal Justice. Some of my favorite subjects to tutor in are Math and English, these subjects go hand and hand together, I also like to tutor in writing because its a good life skill to have. I would describe my teaching/tutoring style as laid back but being able to teach one thing in different ways for others to understand, I have found other ways to keep someone engaged and not want to shut down, because once you shut down it's very hard to want to learn whatever it was again. Some things that interest me outside of academics are sports, offroading, and taking trips to different places. I also hold a big interest in fishing, hunting, hiking, and watching dirtbike racing.
