I am a former elementary and special education teacher with 8 years of experience in 2 different counties, including 2 different Title I schools. I have experience teaching students for whom English is their second language, as well as students with Autism, ADD/ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Other Health Impairments. I am passionate about helping all students reach their full potential! I love teaching all aspects of reading comprehension, from beginning phonological awareness and letter sounds, to more advanced comprehension strategies. I enjoy teaching number sense and problem-solving strategies, helping students truly understand how math works. I also have experience teaching executive functioning skills, social skills, and study skills. Most of all, I am passionate about helping students grow as learners. Students can achieve great success when they understand how they learn best and can have opportunities to grow in confidence and grit.
