Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, with my Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I am a Kindergarten - 2nd grade special education teacher, with an emphasis on 1st grade. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Special Education. I tutor early elementary subjects, but focus on reading and writing. I love teaching the basics of reading, as it sets the stage for students' futures. I have privately tutored multiple different students, primarily focusing on reading and writing. As an educator, I believe in scaffolding instruction, making sure that students fully understand a concept before moving on or increasing the difficulty. I love having students walk me through their thought process, as it allows both of us to see their level of understanding.
