A good teacher is the bridge between the student and the knowledge they want to have. I aim to be that bridgehelping each learner feel not only capable, but confident and curious.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature with a minor in Psychology from King's University College, and a diploma in Broadcast Radio from Fanshawe College. My tutoring journey began at the King's Writing Centre, where I worked with students across disciplinesBusiness, Sociology, Englishand helped them sharpen their writing and discover their voice.
Over the past year with Varsity Tutors, I've supported students with everything from English essay writing and literary analysis (from Shakespeare to contemporary Canadian and world literature) to crafting public speaking pieces for graduations, weddings, and presentations. I've also worked closely with younger learners, helping them master spelling, build confidence, and improve their grades. I'm proud to have received strong reference letters from families and students, including those who've gone on to university and achieved the highest marks in their English classes.
I bring this same energy to my work as a workshop facilitator, lecturer, and performer. Whether I'm teaching media theory, helping a student decode a sonnet, or hosting a karaoke night, my goal is the same: to help people tap into their own voice and feel excited to share it with the world.
