A little about me, I am currently licensed to teach but working as an IA and have 3 years experience in that position as well as countless volunteer hours throughout my teaching program for my bachelors in elementary education. I received my degree from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis last spring. I love what I do and I'm passionate about doing my best to make kids lifelong learners as I am one myself. My philosophy is to get kids into learning by staring what what they know and scaffolding up from there so they aren't overwhelmed as well as trying to incorporate their interests and real life experiences when possible to keep engagement up. I also like to know the students' preferred learning style and use it as much as possible. I can tutor all elementary subjects if needed, though my favorites are reading and social studies as someone who was an avid reader as a kid and is a bit of a history buff.
