I am currently studying to get my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science. Working with and coaching individuals further along in their academic, professional, or personal careers is a passion of mine I've heavily fed into in the past. I've had the chance to train and coach numerous teams in a variety of fields, including sales, customer service, leadership roles, and basic educational tutoring to brush up on skills. Over the past decade, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing my clients come in and take advantage of the knowledge and skills I have to offer, and succeed. Enhancing someone's abilities to learn and study is an ideal way to support their success as lifelong learners no matter the subject. Though personally I enjoy English and Literature the most, I am experienced in and well rounded in math, history, science, and the Theatre Arts.
My approach to teaching is mostly focused on getting the class involved. To make the topic as exciting as possible for everyone, I modify my teaching methods. To illustrate my learning points, I prefer to use group activities, eye-catching PowerPoint presentations, and even movies where I can. I prefer to start by outlining the processes and then going into detail on the why or how. Then I illustrate my point. Finally, once we've gone over the information and my client shows that they understand, I ask them to demonstrate or practice the subject until it's finished or retained.
I like to have fun when I'm not working by getting some exercise on a nice long natural trail, passing the time by playing video game with my kids, or shutting myself up in my room with a good book series.
