I have a bachelor's degree in management and a master's degree in theology, but what I enjoy most is helping learners of all ages make connections with subjects so they can better understand them. The past couple of years I have worked with high school students helping them prepare for college placement tests in reading and writing and improving their scores on state standardized tests in the same subjects. My greatest reward is hearing the joy and excitement in students' voices when they finally understand something with which they have been struggling and that has reduced their confidence in the subject area. I have had great success in helping students improve critical thinking, reading comprehension skills, and writing skills.

In my down time, I love fishing and swimming or engaging in any sort of water sport. I enjoy playing video games on the weekends with family and friends and attending sporting events. I love learning about the way that people lived and interacted in the past to see if it has an impact on how we live and interact today. I like studying other cultures throughout history, and how that affected everyday life for our ancestors.
