Certified Tutor
As a dedicated elementary school tutor, I am passionate about creating engaging, personalized learning experiences that help young students build both academic skills and confidence. My approach combines strong academic foundations with an understanding that every child learns differently and deserves individualized attention.
Through my experience working with elementary-age students, I've developed expertise in breaking down complex concepts into digestible pieces that match each child's learning style. I excel at identifying areas where students are struggling and developing creative solutions to help them overcome challenges. Whether it's using manipulatives to teach math concepts, incorporating movement into phonics lessons, or finding real-world applications for science topics, I make learning both meaningful and fun.
I prioritize building strong relationships with both students and parents, believing that open communication and trust are essential for academic success. Regular progress updates and a collaborative approach ensure that everyone is aligned on goals and strategies. I take pride in celebrating small victories while maintaining high expectations that encourage students to reach their full potential.
Beyond academic instruction, I focus on nurturing students' natural curiosity and love of learning. I believe that helping children develop confidence in their abilities and excitement about education creates a foundation for lifelong learning.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education. My experience includes 21 years of teaching working with students across all elementary grade levels and various learning needs.

I first and foremost enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I volunteer at a local animal shelter and foster homeless animals. I love to read mystery books and love participating in online book clubs. I have also begun to start baking more and am enjoying trying lots of new recipes.
