I believe all students deserve access to the key of true literacy. Explicit phonics instruction coupled with strong comprehension is how we build literate beings. I have a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This is currently my 11th year teaching and my 13th year in education. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and reading intervention. I am currently a literacy instructional coach at an elementary school where I work with both, teachers and students. Outside of teaching, I love to read, go shopping, and find an occasional coffee shop or two!
