I am a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I then went on to recieve my masters in Early childhood education from the University of Missouri. I have taken the classes for ESL and upon graduation I taught ESL for 2 years before entering the regular classroom teaching computer, kindergarten, fifth grade, first grade and third grade. I have taught children in an under privilege school to a school system that was vey well off. This has allowed me to have a wide array of teaching experiences with students and backgrounds to know and experience children in all walks of life. While I tutor a range of subjects, I am most passionate about reading, English and Math. I believe that these are essential to being able to grow as a learner and expand your knowledge in everything that you do in life. They are the foundation of ALL things that we do and will forever do! In my experience with students it is always best to come up with a gameplan together to know what will work for you and decide how we will tackle this challenge of the subject/content together! Knowing that you are supported, and we will get through this together will help anyone! I believe that I am here to advocate for confident students by instilling a sense of self-belief and fostering an environment where they feel empowered to perform their best in all that they do!
In my spare time, I enjoy watching and hanging out with my dogs, goats and chickens! Oh, and my 3 children and husband! We have a good time here on my little farm!
