Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of James Madison University. I received my Bachelors in English in the spring of 2022 and I am currently pursuing a law degree. While in undergrad I wrote many research-based papers and peer-edited numerous classmates' work. Currently, I tutor two exchange students in English concentrating in phonics, pronunciation, and reading. My favorite subjects to tutor are Literature, English, and History. I believe the key to understanding an author's work is to digest the material in any way that helps you understand their unique voice and intent of writing. While in undergrad I specialized in Post Colonial Literature and have developed a love for dissecting historic works that relate to postmodern societal trends. I also feel confident in interpreting Shakespeare and other Elizabethan Literature. I can tutor a broad range of subjects, including standardized tests that include writing and critical/logical reasoning sections. I love learning and being able to encourage others to do so positively brings me joy.
