Teaching and learning is a process in which I take immense interest as it brings new perspectives and hopes to bring change and curiosity among the students. I have earned my Graduation and Master's in Botany from Vidyasagar College and Scottish Church College, my Bachelor's in Education from Government College of Education, Banipur and currently pursuing a Diploma course in Inclusive Education from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. I had a humble start in my life when I got the opportunity to study with a diverse population of students which endowed me with rich cultural experiences and the value of humanity. The first opportunity I got as a teacher to interact with students was in 'Sahyadri School, Pune' which follows the values and philosophy of Jiddu Krishnamurti, a world-wide renowned philosopher known for his revolutionary ideas about humanity and all things related to it. As a teacher, I have gained experience working with middle school and high school goers coming from different parts of India. Being a teacher gives me the peace and relief that I can help my students in many different ways and ignite hope in them. I do try to follow inclusive practices to guide my students in not only passing through standardized tests but also to achieve, engage and participate in every aspect. I take a deep interest in teaching Biology as it gives insight into the vast intricacy of life and how life evolved, why life is like what it is, and most importantly it gives the life skills to evaluate and be critical of our surroundings. Though teaching Biology in class is formal my everyday life connections to Biology bring me joy and connect me to my students. Apart from Teaching, I find pleasure in cooking different cuisines and experiment with different ingredients.
