Certified Tutor

I am enrolled in a teacher certification program, working towards obtaining my teacher's license. I am currently enrolled as a Doctoral student pursuing a Ph.D in Education.

I worked for a literacy-based non-profit organization in Michigan for 10 years, providing reading and literacy intervention tutoring services for kindergarten through twelfth-grade students in the Detroit Public Schools Community District and surrounding Metro-Detroit school districts.

While I have experience tutoring students of all ages in reading and literacy, I am most passionate about advocating for reading and literacy proficiency for all students.

In my experience, helping struggling readers reach grade-level proficiency or above is one of my passions.

I firmly promote reading and literacy education, believing it is vital for survival, student progression in their education, and improved quality of life. I aim to foster my students' love and desire for reading.
