Writing, editing and storytelling have always been my passion. I believe excellent communication requires a strong command of linguistic and grammatical skills. I love helping students develop excellent reading, writing and presentation skills.

I am a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin, where I earned my degree in journalism. I went on to a career in journalism, where I further developed my writing and editing skills. Next, I worked for over 20 years in school public relations, where I thrived on working with teachers, students and district leaders. As a communications director, I published articles in several magazines, wrote and delivered speeches and presentations and was the go-to writer and editor for editorial columns, presentations and stories.

Mentoring students was always a highlight, which is why I am now excited about continuing my educational career as a tutor.

I believe that the ability to fluently read and write is essential in every field. Whether students need help with basic grammar, college essays or presentations, I am eager to help.

In addition to curling up with a book, I love playing tennis, playing games and spending time outside, soaking up the beauty of nature.
