Certified Tutor

I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts (with a focus on women's wear design) from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.
I'm originally from a border-town in Texas. I'm Mexican-American and a proud Latina.
Back in 2021, I lived in Spain for 8 months as an English language assistant. I was awarded a grant by NALCAP (North American Language and Culture Assistants Program) and had the opportunity to teach Spanish students, English, while sharing American culture.
It was an amazing experience and I had the opportunity to work with students to enhance their verbal skills.
Before moving to Spain- I was living in New York City and working as a fashion designer. I have worked at companies such as J.Crew and Lane Bryant.
I have been back in the States for about a year now. Since returning from Spain, I have continued to tutor especially in Spanish.
While I'm passionate about tutoring in my languages of expertise (English and Spanish), I also enjoy sharing my knowledge of the fashion industry. As an apparel designer, I sketch using Adobe Illustrator. This is a skill that I tutor students that are interested in using illustrator for any design projects.
My patient and bubbly personality is what makes me an excellent tutor.
