Certified Tutor

I am an artist, author and art educator. I have taught art at the elementary, middle and high school levels, as well as to adults.

I love art and working in a wide variety of media. My favorites are acrylic paint, ceramics and mixed media. I am passionate about experimenting and learning about other media.

For me being creative is so much of who I am and what I like to do. I am a creative problem solver which also means I love mysteries, doing genealogy research, designing houses, landscape design, figuring out ways to do new things or solve big and small problems.

Having a creative problem solving mindset lends itself to learning new things and as an artist and art teacher it means exploring, experimenting with new media, techniques, ideas and helping students find that same joy and love of art and creativity.

I have traveled to various places around the world including Europe, Asia, Africa, Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and around much of the United States.

I graduate from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Education and from City University of Seattle with a Masters in Education. I am a National Board Certified Teacher.
