I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where I received my Bachelor of Science with a focus on Special Education and Elementary/Middle School Education. Since graduation, I have taught a wide range of students, often writing curriculum or modifying the existing curriculum to meet the needs of each individual student. I am most passionate about English Language Arts (Reading Comprehension, Reading Fluency and Writing) and Mathematics. I believe that these two subjects are important for success throughout life, but that the approach used to teach these subjects should be more individualized as everyone's brain works differently. Something that I tell my own children when they are struggling.
