My passion is history. In my opinion history is just as important as math and science. As a matter of fact, if citizens of the United States do not learn the lessons of our past, we shall pay a price in the future. As of now, the federal government has spent so much taxpayer money on "infrastructure" that multiple generations moving forward will unfortunately be the poorer for paying the debt.

I believe that instruction should be taught thoroughly. I perceive history as stories based in fact, and attempt to be as objective as possible, although, as in the case of the German philosopher, Georg W.F. Hegel, in his book The Philosophy of History, argues that history is subjective, since many facts come from journals, letters, etc. The two areas of study, in which I focus much of my time, are the American Revolution and the American Civil War. I enjoy researching the unique challenges that each era was forced to endure.
