I recently graduated from Cambridge University, where I was awarded a double first class degree in English.
Some particular highlights of my course were my papers on Tragedy, Ethics, and Visual Culture, the latter of which I received an 'exceptional starred first' mark (80+). I also specialise in Medieval Literature, Renaissance Literature, Shakespeare, the 'Long 18th Century', both Theatre and Film Studies, and systems of Visual Analysis. I wrote the first of my two first class dissertations on Ontology in Virginia Woolf's 'The Waves', and the second on Hermeneutic Process and the Montaignian Influences of Orson Welles' feature film, 'The Other Side of the Wind'.
I have half a decade of experience working as an acting coach and theatre director, where my clients have obtained offers from prestigious institutions such as The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Identity School of Acting, and The National Youth Theatre. My coaching methodology focuses on the clarity of communication and argument, and the freedom of interpretation - both of which are invaluable to studying English Literature and other related practices at any age and level.
I therefore seek to nurture students' unique voices, a practice which always sees them more motivated and passionate about the subject. Exam boards relish a kind of dynamism in style and creativity - it is precisely here that I pay the closest attention, and that my students reap the highest rewards.
Above all, I am a passionate teacher who cares deeply about the success and academic fulfilment of his students. My classes are fun (I know what it feels like to hate school) informative, and will provide a foundational platform for their intellectual growth and development, both inside and outside the classroom.

Degree: University of Cambridge - Bachelor, English
I have worked as an actor in the film and theatre industries for half a decade, and have been fortunate enough to collaborate with some brilliant creatives and institutions such as Kenneth Branagh, The National Theatre, Carrie Cracknell, Nicholas Hytner, Marvel, Disney, and Hammer Horror. I recently staged my debut production in the theatre, where over 60 creatives helped me realize a response to T.S. Eliot's 'The Waste Land' on its 100th Anniversary. I am a musician currently recording an album, and I am a keen Wakeboarder.
