I am a graduate of The Unsinkable Albany State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in special education with a focus on mathematics and English language arts. Since graduation, I have furthered my education earning my masters and educational specialist degrees in special education with a focus on deaf education all while teaching middle school math full time and coaching girls' basketball. While I have experience teaching a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about mathematics. In my experience, students only struggle in math because they truly do not see it impacting their everyday lives. I am a firm believer that if you make it culturally relevant and provide time for engaging dialogue, math can be fun. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in community service events, playing board games, going to the gym, and being adventurous in the great outdoors.

I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Alpha Phi Omega. I have a miniature schnauzer named Nova, two parakeets named Aries & Apollo, a tortoise named Theodon, and a python named Minerva . I love to laugh, so be prepared for a good time. A few of my favorites include: UGA football, sweet tea, fall, DIY Crafts, fishing, and Target.
