Hi! I'm Torie, a fourth-year medical student with hopes of becoming a pediatrician. You may ask yourself, "Why has she decided to tutor?" My answer is simple. Why not? I have always held the belief that knowledge is power, so having the opportunity to share that knowledge is one of the most selfless things we can do. Before beginning my medical school journey, I worked with elementary and middle school students. I covered art, math, reading, and science. It always brought me joy to see my students thrive and excel. I also spent time working as a substitute teacher during my gap year in medical school, which strengthened my desire to become a pediatrician and help the next generation reach their goals. As a Varsity Tutors tutor, I want to help students develop confidence in their abilities and get one step closer to achieving their dreams.
