I graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Science in Geological Sciences with Teaching Option in 2005 and then received my Masters of Science in Geological Sciences with a focus on Volcanology and Geochemistry in 2009. Around this time, my research into Basaltic Plinian Eruptions was published in the Bulletin of Volcanology. Since then I have spent numerous years in Tennessee, most at Oak Ridge High School, teaching Physics, Chemistry, Physical Science, AP Physics 1, Geology, and Dual Enrollment Geology. For the last 4 years I have been the STEM Coordinator for Oak Ridge Schools working with teachers and administrators in Preschool through High school and have missed having daily interactions with students and would love to tutor students in physical and earth sciences. I have a reputation for working well with all students: from students with math learning disabilities to students who make perfect scores on their ACTs. It's all about making the content relatable and relevant.
