I first started "teaching" when my mum was struggling with English grammar. My experience in learning other languages, a pass-time of mine, made it easy to explain the grammatical rulings to her. My mother soon passed her ESOL. I then taught Arabic and PSCE type lessons in my local centre. There I taught 4-14 year olds and discovered I had some leadership skills and people appreciated that I was not the type to get impatient or angry when anyone around me doesn't understand something. Rather I find a new way to explain it.
I did some work experience at SH tutoring in Halifax. There I got an idea of the sort of teacher I want to be: someone who inspires and makes their students curious to learn more. I tutored my neighbour in GCSE and 11+. In this period I have collected a plethora of resources to help me teach GCSE, both digital and hard book. I tutored a girl in chemistry. I still keep in contact with her and she often tells me thank you for all the little study tips she then shared with others. I also worked in a school for five weeks. There, I primarily worked with SEND children, meaning those with special needs and revived good feedback on my approach to teaching and my natural intuition. References are available upon request.
My methodology of teaching will be different depending on who I am teaching and their needs. I like to ask if he or she has any homework they are stuck on currently and spend some time on that, ensuring our tuition session will not add to the workload of an already stressed student. Additionally, I always help my student make a timetable that is realistic to them. On the majority of days, I will prepare slides before hand and explain them carefully. Then I provide questions they can apply what they have learnt. I will regularly take breaks from content and revisit previous content in order to in-still "spaced repetition" which had been proven to be extremely effective. I would work through some with them before throwing them in to the deep end.
I am passionate about teaching because I believe education can change lives for the better. To expose them to new concpets means I allow he or she to enter new pathways and have a genuine desire to inspire young people to dream big. If you are looking for a tutor with expearience teaching GCSE, please get in touch. I am confident in Maths, English and Sciences, my lowest grade recieved being an A.

A hobby of mines is to learn languages; I am currently learning Korean and French in my spare time using free resources I find online. One day I hope to be proficient in either, or both, and one day work abroad.
