I want to help young students increase their confidence in their academic skills. I have ADHD, a processing disorder, and testing anxiety, so I have plenty experience feeling hopeless in a class, yet also experience pushing through and adapting in the classroom. I hope to be able to use my knowledge to help others succeed in areas that they desire. I also want students to feel more comfortable with making mistakes and turn them into a learning experience. I think that problem-solving is a very important life skill that manifests no matter what field of study one goes into. If students are not ashamed of making some mistakes, it can help broaden their viewpoints on issues and more efficiently solve them.
