Certified Tutor

I'm an experienced primary educator with a passion for empowering learners. I'm a graduate of The University of Wales, Bangor where I obtained a degree in primary education. My degree and subsequent 12 years of teaching have equipped me with the skills to teach engaging and interactive lessons in all areas of the primary curriculum. I'm most passionate, however, about teaching reading, writing and grammar. I LOVE books so teaching children to be able to get lost in them and write stories and foster a love of the English language is something that brings me a lot of joy. I'm also a firm advocate for developing a growth mindset and cultivating a love for learning. I believe that when students are empowered with a positive mindset, they become more resilient, motivated, and open to embracing new challenges. Through my teaching approach, I strive to instil a sense of curiosity and a belief in students' potential to achieve greatness. Beyond my tutoring role, I am also an empowerment coach, specialising in helping adults feel empowered and confident in their personal development journeys. This additional expertise fuels my commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment, where students can not only excel academically but also develop life skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
