Certified Tutor

I obtained a First class Biology BSc from Queen Mary University of London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Life Sciences from The University of Bristol, during the first year of my PhD.

I received an academic award and publication with the Genetics Society as a result of work undertaken during undergraduate studies.

I tutor all areas of Biology, with particular interests in genetics and plant biology. I approach all students with enthusiasm, support, positivity and a fun way of learning. I wish all my students to achieve their full potential and make my classes engaging; I encourage questions, curiosity and ensure concepts are fully understood. I then apply this understanding and create a clear learning plan to answer those all important exam questions.

I have two years tutoring experience in London secondary schools teaching Biology up to and including A level.

I work as an Exam Invigilator for GCSE and A level papers including OCR, AQA and Edexcel.

I have experience with primary aged children; I lived in Italy as an Au Pair with a family of two children aged 7 and 10. I taught English and ran English classes for students in the local area - so I speak Italian, too!
