I have been a public school elementary and middle school teacher in the San Antonio and surrounding areas for the last 15+ years. I have worked with students of all ages including Pre-K-High School. I have a Bachelors in Education and a Minor in English as a Second Language from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I specialize in meeting students where they are at, helping them grow, and meet their potential.

Navigating our curriculum to adhere to 21 century learners is a must in our school environment. We must use readily available technology to support and engage the students of today that are in our classroom. We must learn to adapt and engage learners.

I believe that all students are capable of learning with an effective teacher that is willing to make a difference. I know that all students are unique and learn in different ways. I want to influence students in a positive manner in the classroom, and inspire them to strive for success. I want to prove a structured, safe, and supportive environment for all students. I want to create an atmosphere that supports children in which they can grow intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.

My teaching style can best be described as one that incorporates a diversity of teaching methodologies and techniques. The diversity of students is a positive in the classroom. I believe that all students should be surrounded in a learning centered environment in order to academically succeed.

In conclusion, my goal as a teacher is to instill passion for learning within my students while providing them with an educational environment that is positive and encouraging. Teaching provides an opportunity for continual growth and learning. I want to share my love for learning with my students. I feel there is a need for strong compassionate and dedicated individuals like myself that are excited about teaching students. I know I am a person that will always strive for the best!
