Certified Tutor

I recently graduated from the University of York (UK) with a PhD in Biochemistry, while I really enjoyed working in the lab every day, what I enjoyed most was teaching Undergraduate students. This ranged from 'catch-up chemistry' and 'catch-up maths' sessions to support Biology students who needed help in these areas to setting up a peer assisted learning scheme where I lead a team of tutors to help 1st year undergraduate students adjust to university learning styles and challenging content.
Alongside this I have worked as a private tutor in Maths and Science subjects for students aged from 7-18+ in both the UK and New Zealand, including some small group science sessions to encourage younger children to engage with science in an outdoor environment.
I'm passionate about helping ALL students achieve their potential, I aim to make learning fun because I strongly believe students learn best when they are enjoying themselves! I always like to learn about students own interests so my teaching can be guided and tailored specifically to them.
