I am a graduate from the University of Texas in El Paso. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English. I also received my Masters in Guidance and School Counseling. I am also certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language-TEFL. I taught all subjects in Elementary I especially like teaching English, Science and History because I integrate reading with these subjects. I have tutored in Reading and ESL as well. I love to see my students improve academically. In addition to teaching elementary, I also taught English Language (ESL) to students ranging in 6 to 16 years in age from Mexico who wanted to be fluent in speaking English. I have a passion in teaching and working with students because I know all students can learn in their own way. Through my counseling experience I have learned that all students are special and they each have the capability of learning. When I work with students I see how unique their learning styles are and how assisting them with their academic weaknesses can help them become more self confident.

I enjoy reading, swimming and walking my dog. I also make quilts for my family members. I enjoy taking walks through the forest and enjoying the scenery. I mostly enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren.
