I am a graduate of Northeastern University with a Masters of Science in Chemistry. I received my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from The University of Texas Pan American. As part of my professional training I worked with supercomputers to try and solve chemistry related problems. In one example, we wanted to understand the properties of graphene when Iron atoms get close. During my years in school, I was given the opportunity to teach for various labs and classes ranging from Introduction to Chemistry to Physics for Scientists and Engineers. The experience I acquired has allowed me to better understand the requirements needed for the development of critical thinking skills in classes as well as labs. My interest in teaching stems from the questions I ask myself and it is that innate curiosity that I wish to pass along to any interested student. Learning may seem like a challenge at the moment but with the correct motivation we can make it fun. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sci-fi/drama/thrillers like Fringe and Star Trek.
