Hi!
My name is Anabel, I'm a second year Law student studying at the University of York.
I started tutoring due to my genuine passion for law and would love to pursue this interest further by teaching the subject.
I struggled with GCSEs and managed to get the grades I needed to get me to a good sixth form. However, once I moved schools and began my A-Levels, I quickly found different revision techniques which resulted in me getting grades I had never achieved before. I wanted to use my experience to show other students that your GCSE do not predict your A-Level grades and that anyone is able to get into their desired universities.I aim to teach students how to prepare for the A-Level exams. My sessions are tailored to my students needs, this could include: revision techniques, course content, answering techniques and anything else they're struggling with!
As one of the youngest students in my year, the age gap is minimal, meaning my students can rely on someone who has been in their shoes not long ago and is aware of the struggles of a sixth form student.
I strongly believe that knowledge is best retained when the lessons are conversational instead of me sharing overwhelming amounts of heavy information. However, i'm willing to apply whatever teaching techniques work best for each student!
