I graduated from The University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in International Studies and a minor in the French language. Soon after graduating, I was accepted as an English language auxiliary in the North American Language and Culture Auxiliary Program (NALCAP) for the Spanish government. I was sent to Menorca in the Balearic Islands where I was a teaching assistant at two elementary schools. There I would talk to the students in English and play games that would get them to engage with the language in a fun manner while simultaneously adding to their understanding of the language. As a native English and Spanish speaker with knowledge of French and Catalan, I find that language learning is fun when the teacher comes up with various manners to interact with the language. While in Menorca I also tutored students in various other subjects such as maths and sciences. I found that I enjoyed tutoring maths as much as foreign languages. I am passionate about helping students not only learn but also become the best versions of themselves. This is because I enjoy it when others grow and prosper. That moment when a student connects with the material and demonstrates an understanding of the content is beautiful to witness. Especially when they are then able to explain it to you in their own words and it shows how that bit of knowledge is now a part of something they will take on with them to future endeavors. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, reading, dancing, and when possible watching soccer matches
