I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with minors in Psychological Development and Education from the College of Idaho. As a professional violinist and violist, I am an active member of the musical community and regularly sub with the Boise Philharmonic. I have toured with various groups and performed concerts in Mexico, China, Italy, and across the United States. Music is in my blood. I have taught private lessons for 21 years, students ranging from preschool to retirement age, from no musical experience to college prep. I am a proud music nerd. I also have a love for English. My favorite parts of school were peer reviews, where I got to use my creative brain to help improve my peers' writing. I can write a mean essay, and I have aced every English course I have ever taken. I tutor both music and English and have a passion for finding the spark that motivates students to succeed. Nothing compares to the light in students' eyes as they suddenly understand a concept. I am able to easily connect with students because I feed off their personalities and have the empathy needed to serve. I feel that education is a lifelong pursuit, and there is always more to learn. When I am not teaching or nerding out with music, I can often be found hanging out with my family, snuggling with my animals, doing diamond art, or streaming a show.
