I am a graduate of San Diego State University and hold a bachelors degree in elementary education. Previously I have been a preschool teacher, a lead "school age" teacher, and a kindergarten teacher. I have known I wanted to be a teacher since the second grade. Helping others have their light bulb moment of understanding is something that I thrive on. I am a firm believer that everyone learns differently and that is something to be celebrated. I take pride in reaching students on how they individually understand something. English and history have always been my favorite subjects, but I am here to help across the board of learning. Real world examples of learning are things that I find to be the best learning tools, and who doesn't love taking education out of the textbook?!

I love to read. Books, as I've told past students, are my friends! I'm a huge sports fan hockey in particular, but my heart holds a space for football and baseball as well. Coloring, arts and crafts are things that I also love to do. Captain America is my favorite avenger (love all the movies deeply), and Ariel is my favorite princess! Can you tell I love disney?
