Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Howard University, University of Phoenix and Hampton University. I received my PhD in Nursing with a focus in higher education. My dissertation focused on exploring factors which influenced nursing students retention With decades of Nursing Education and critical care experience, teaching, tutoring and mentoring nursing students is my passion. I am a Certified Nurse Educator, with extensive teaching and work experience in the areas of Adult Health Nursing, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Dosage Calculations. I especially am drawn to assisting nursing students to apply knowledge learned throughout their program of study by coaching and guiding them to become better test-takers, problem solvers, critical thinkers and competent/confident nurses. My passion for tutoring goes back to my elementary school days, as I always helped classmates who struggled with content, which has continued throughout my career and community service activities. In my spare time I love to read, sew and exercise through walking, swimming or bike riding. I also am tutoring youth at a summer camp.
