I am a graduate of Western Oregon University with a Bachelors in Humanities as well as a double minor in Educational Psychology and American Sign Language. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in Kindergarten and I am so excited to finally be where I am today. I have moved around a bit, and this has let me have teaching opportunities in both Southern California, Oregon, and now Arkansas! While I am new to Varsity, I am not new to tutoring and teaching. I teach a wide range of subjects, but I excel and have a passion for teaching English. Growing up I hated writing and reading. I even dreaded going to my first college writing class, in fear of how dull or hard it would be... but it was there that an amazing professor changed my whole view of English. I was finally taught how to write in my own voice. I learned that reading can be (and is) fun if you know what to look for. This changed my whole world and I began studying to become an English teacher. It is my deepest hope (and goal) to teach others how to have the same love for English. I firmly believe in making learning fun.
