I have a Associate of Applied Science in EMS from Tarrant County College, my Bachelors of Science in Emergency Medical Sciences from UT Health San Antonio, my Master of Science in Health Sciences from The George Washington University, and I am working on completing my dissertation for my EdD in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.

My passion for teaching developed in Paramedic school where I found the value of sharing my knowledge with other as a way to help more people. I believe that as an educator I have the opportunity to help others aspire to become a better version of themselves.

I love helping students feel impassioned about learning and seek ways to present material based on real world practice and experience. I enjoying taking complex textbook information and break it down by relating it to what is familiar or important t to them.

I will encourage original and out of the box thinking. The best way to come up with a solution is found in peeling back the layers and getting to the core of what needs to be learned.

I have extensive management and leadership experience domestic and international arenas. I believe leaders need to master all types of leadership styles so that they remain versatile to meet the needs of those the are leading and the organization they represent.
