Hello, my name is Teacher Jade and I am a current graduate student and an online English teacher. I am here to effectively help students meet their education goals! My areas of expertise are English and Writing but my B.S. is in Anthropology and Cultural Geography so I absolutely love to tutor students in History, Social Studies, and the likes as I am passionate about these subjects myself. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee but have been able to live in various countries abroad for extended periods teaching English. I most recently returned from living in Peru and I value talking about world travel and culture. I am available to book on all weekdays and my passion in life is teaching. My specific focus is to improve my students grades and create long lasting study habits and an atmosphere with a passion for learning. When it comes to any level of English or writing, I feel extremely confident in my abilities to guide students to create positive results. I'm currently enrolled in graduate school to become a state licensed teacher in Tennessee and I am open minded individual with a knack for learning foreign languages as well. I also have a 120+ hours TEFL/TESL certification including TOEFL/IELTS training. In my free time I like writing music, singing, and polaroid photography. What sets me apart from other teachers? I'm professional and bilingual too! After living and studying abroad during college, I learned to speak French and Spanish so I understand how daunting it can be to meet those education milestones. I naturally encourage my students frequently during class and extend the content beyond our session to apply to the real world. I am from the USA; born and raised in Tennessee! My Southern culture gives me a unique perspective and living abroad has totally flipped my perceptions of the world itself on its head! Cultural exchange is an important part of the learning process and I will create a fun, friendly environment in class without sacrificing seriousness and professionalism. I have taught students of all ages in Cambodia, Peru, China, and the USA. I am passionate about animals and nature as well as the arts and sciences. I also enjoy the straight forward nature of mathematics as well but my heart lies with the art of language and writing; however, my classes are sure to be useful and engaging no matter the subject. I am patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable; I truly care about each student individually and want to see them succeed in all aspects of life! I have 6 years of experience teaching English, and preparing students for the TOEFL/IELTS. I have a B.S. in Anthropology, I love to study cultures and foods around the world. I also have a 120+ hours TEFL/TESL certification including TOEFL/IELTS training. I am a current graduate student who is passionate about teaching a creating a difference in the world. Personally, I am like anyone else who enjoys binging Netflix and the fast paced world of the Internet but deep down, I consider myself an old soul and I am easily satisfied by the simple pleasures of life. I love Oldies music from the 50's-90's and I also love vintage fashion and movies. Traveling and spending time in nature makes me feel the most fulfilled in life and I am currently planning a trip to Disney World with my husband for my first visit ever!
